Florida
City is located south of Homestead and is
known as the gateway to the Florida Keys as well as to the Everglades
National Park. Florida City Elementary school was built in 1961 on
donated land. It is the only public school within the City of Florida
City and has been serving the surrounding community for over forty
years. As part of the Miami-Dade County Public School System, this
school is the southernmost located elementary school in this county.
